Devin Laurence Field has visited The Round at Beaverton Central often enough to know what’s missing. Little did he know from his earlier visits to dine at the complex’s restaurants that a major lacking element would emerge from his own imagination and two hands. “I’ve long thought the Beaverton Round needed some major piece of art — something to anchor it,” he says. “I’m happy to be the one to provide it.” “Three Creeks, One Will,” an 8-foot-wide, 37-and-a-half-foot-tall steel sculpture, is taking shape in Field’s cavernous Northwest Portland workshop. He opened the doors last week to provide a sneak peek of the mammoth project to selected guests and members of the news media.
