The Round is thrilled to announce our newest Tenant, BOGZA. Timothy Bogza founded BOGZA in 2010. The firm produces illustrations and animations for clients working in architecture, interior design, master planning and urban design. Devin Laurence Field has visited The Round at Beaverton Central often enough to know what’s missing. Little did he know from his earlier visits to dine at the complex’s restaurants that a major lacking element would emerge from his own imagination and two hands. “I’ve long thought the Beaverton Round needed some major piece of art — something to anchor it,” he says. “I’m happy to be the one to provide it.” “Three Creeks, One Will,” an 8-foot-wide, 37-and-a-half-foot-tall steel sculpture, is taking shape in Field’s cavernous Northwest Portland workshop. He opened the doors last week to provide a sneak peek of the mammoth project to selected guests and members of the news media.

The plaza’s not quite complete, but its 37-foot focal point is finally in place. Crews installed “Three Creeks, One Will,” a sculpture by Portland artist Devin Laurence Field, on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The $60,000 art piece anchors the South Plaza at The Round. Sections of the plaza remain unfinished, including slots that will feature stones engraved with the names of Beaverton’s sister cities: Birobidjan in Russian, Cheonan in Korea, Cluses in France, Gotemba in Japan, Hsinchu in Taiwan and Trossingen in Germany.

The city-owned South Office Building at The Round will see interior improvements and a new private tenant in the next few months. The upcoming construction is in preparation for the relocation of city offices next year. The building will house most city services on the first, fourth and fifth floors by June or July of 2014, according to city staff. The second and third floors are available for lease by other organizations and businesses. The most recent company to seize space in the building is iBridge, LLC, an information services company whose lease agreement was approved by the Beaverton City Council on Oct. 15.

ScanlanKemperBard, the local real estate private equity firm company who is the catalyst of bringing the recent activity and vitality to the Round, has announced a number of changes for this premier mixed use space. Starting with the approval to move Beaverton’s City Hall to The Round, this move will transform The Round creating the civic core and cultural heart for the City.

The Washington County Visitors Association (WCVA) officially moved its headquarter offices to the South Office Building at The Round. WCVA is now headquartered at 12725 SW Millikan Way, Suite 210, Beaverton, Ore.
